The schools have been carefully ranked using the cost of tuition (per year/two semesters) and the total student enrollment per year. First, the schools were scored based on tuition costs, where the more affordable schools received higher scores. Second, the schools were scored with higher enrollment numbers being given higher scores. Then, we added the scores to help us rank all 20 schools.
All of the tuition rates are based on in-state tuition (when applicable). We did not include such costs as room and board or books into the numbers. Additionally, many schools offer scholarships and financial assistance, reducing the cost that a student may actually pay to attend.
