Masters in Web Development

Today many feel that money spent on formal education is wasted, but it simply isn’t true. Investing in formal education is investing in yourself. Learning is expanding your mind – increasing your knowledge and understanding, not only of what you learn in books but how you grow and the richness and depth you obtain from fulfilling your college commitment and meeting like-minded people. It is a coming of age experience, a rite of passage, and you may come to regret it if you don’t provide yourself the opportunity to go.

Why Choose Web Development?

One can hardly go wrong getting a web development degree since the employment of web developers is projected to grow at a rate of 8% through the year 2029, double the average growth rate for all occupations. An entry-level position for a web developer with a degree in computer science is $73,760 yearly or approximately $35 hourly. With mobile phones in every hand and mass ecommerce picking up more and more speed, web developers are in exceptionally high demand.

Why Pursue a Graduate Degree in Computer Science?

An associate’s degree may get one’s foot in the door, but will it provide them the background they will need to move up the ladder and make the kind of income they crave? Eagerness and enthusiasm only go so far in the information technology field. It requires adequate education to match the job at hand. A bachelor’s degree is good, but a master’s degree in computer science covers the gamut between basic applications and COBOL, and more. If a prospective employee possesses the knowledge to handle whatever is thrown at them, they can almost write their own paycheck. A master’s degree in computer science also covers some higher math, so it can be a stepping stone on the path to a doctorate in engineering. Earning a master’s degree in computer science is a smart way to spend one’s efforts.

How We Rank Schools

We gathered tuition rates as well as student-to-faculty ratios directly from each school’s website. We used in-state tuition rates for one year. Points were assigned to each school. 50 points maximum for tuition was assigned with more points going to economical schools and fewer points to the more expensive schools and 50 points maximum for student-to-faculty ratio with more points going to the schools with a lower ratio. The points were added for a possible total of 100, and thus they were ranked. When two scores were equal and they were already in the “priority to economical schools” order, the lowest student-to-faculty ratio was given priority.

If you are with a school that we have included in our rankings and you find an error in our information, please contact and advise us so we can correct the information.
