Our Ranking Methodology
We found tuition rates at the website of each school and enrollment and student-teacher ratio data from the National Center for Education Statistics. We used in-state tuition rates when available. Whenever tuition rates were listed by semester, we multiplied by two to get the yearly rate. When tuition was listed by credit, we multiplied by 12 to get the semester cost and then by two to get the yearly cost. Enrollment numbers reflect the specific campus of the program.
After sorting by tuition, enrollment, and then student-teacher ratio, we assigned points to each school in each category. There was a maximum of 18 points available in each category. We then added these scores together to create the final rankings.
